Donald Trump published an AI-generated video in which he appears as a doctor offering treatment for the so-called “Trump Derangement Syndrome” (TDS), an expression used by his supporters to refer to critics of the president.

In the video, posted on his social network, Truth Social, AI-created versions of celebrities such as Whoopi Goldberg, Robert De Niro, Rosie O’Donnell, Julia Roberts and Edward Norton appear as “patients”, claiming to suffer from symptoms such as constant anger, insomnia and obsession with Trump.

Next, the president, playing the character “Dr. Trump”, recommends a supposed treatment that includes turning off the “fake media”, saying prayers and drinking a Diet Coke. “Do as I do and you will see a noticeable difference in your life”, says “Dr. Trump” at the end of the clip.

The post quickly gained traction on social media. While supporters treated the video as political satire, critics questioned the use of artificial intelligence to reproduce the image and voice of real people without authorization, as well as pointing to the provocative tone of the content.

It is worth emphasizing that the term “Trump Derangement Syndrome” is not a recognized medical diagnosis. It emerged as a political label to describe opponents considered excessively hostile to the president and does not appear in official manuals of mental disorders, such as the DSM, from the American Psychiatric Association.
